Has it ever crossed your mind, what a day would be like at U-Turn Covenant Church?
Maybe you have some questions that you need answers to before visiting us. Here are some frequently asked questions that we have answered.
What type of church is U-Turn?
We are a non-denominational church with people from all backgrounds (we're an affiliate of New Life Covenant church of Chicago, A.G.). Whether you’ve been attending church for years or this is your first time, you’ll feel welcomed at Uturn.
When are Services? Our Bilingual serice will begin at 11:00 a.m. Service last about 60-80 minutes, and you should arrive about 15 minutes early if you have children. That will give you plenty of time to check them in at Ukidz before the service begins.
What should I wear? Whatever you want! We welcome jeans, t-shirts, ties, tuxedos, shorts., you get the idea. Come as you are.
How do I get there? Uturn meets at 5454 W. Diversey Ave, Chicago IL
What happens when I arrive?
As you approach Uturn, you can park at the rear of the church near Dickens. Once inside greeters will be available to answer any questions, hand you a VIP brochure, and find you the best seat available when you get to the sanctuary. While you wait, feel free to enjoy the music, read about upcoming events up on the screens, and complete as much information as you feel comfortable sharing on the Connection Card in your VIP brochure (which can be placed in the offering basket or given to a greeter).
What is the service like?
First of all, you won’t be pointed out or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. You will have a meaningful, stress-free experience…and you’ll have a lot of fun.Each service is about 65 minutes. The first 15 minutes of the service you’ll get to enjoy some modern worship music led by our Worship Arts Team. We’ll have the words to each song up on the screen, so you can sing as much as you feel comfortable!After a short welcome from one of our pastors, there is usually another song, or we’ll jump right into the day’s teaching. Each message/sermon is 25-30 minutes long and takes eternal Biblical principlesand applies them to your life in some very real and practical ways.
What about my kids?
Ukidz will be the BEST hour of your kid’s week! All children–from birth to 5th grade–are invited to join us in a fun, safe, clean, interactive environment where our team of trained volunteers creates an environment your child will want to come back to every week! When you register your child, you will receive a receipt sticker that you will use to pick up your child after the service. On that receipt, you will also notice a three-digit code, which will appear on the screens in the main auditorium should your child need you during the service.
