Hebrews 4: 12-13 “For the word of God is alive and active Sharper than any double0edged sword , it penetrates even dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”

God knows everything! Let’s just go straight to the point. He is our creator, and he knows everything about us; the good the bad and the ugly. In this verse the author is just reminding us how powerful it is to come in contact with God’s word. As it is alive and active as we read it, we come to convictions we come to openness and most importantly we come to repentance.

Martin Luther King said, “our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.

When we aim to stay silent and not speak out on what matters in our lives that’s when all things come to an end. It is vital that we take this time of fasting to cray out to God and pour out our hearts to him and share our pains, failures and worries. When we allow God’s word to cut us this is where true breakthrough begins to happen in our lives.

Billy Graham once said, “the wonderful news is that our Lord is a God of mercy, and He responds to repentance.”

As we are looking for a resurgence in our lives and in this new year of 2021, let us cry out to the Lord in repentance and know that God who is just is also merciful, and he will forgive us of all our sins. Let this be a time of reset, let this be a time of renewal, because at the end of it all, our relationship to the father is what matters most.

Prayer:  God Today we take the time to repent from all of our sins. For those things that we have failed to bring to you that we may have even been ashamed of bringing to you. Lord here it is! We lay it at your feet, and we trust that you will cleanse us from these things and renew our hearts. We love you Lord! Amen .
