John 20: 21-22 “on the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and said, “Peace be with you! After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again, Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus walks through locked doors!  I love it! Nothing can hold him back when he wants to do something in your life. This is symbolic of the life God is calling you and I to live as well. When Jesus resurrected, he not only walked out of the tomb, and served his disciples, but also lived with supernatural power and ability to do the impossible.

This is exactly what God is inviting us to do when he empowers us with his Spirit. He gives us the supernatural ability to do things we normally can’t do on our own. I’m not talking about walking through closed physical doors but closed spiritual doors. We now have the ability to move under the power and enablement of the Holy Spirit and this should be our daily hunger and desire.  It is time that we begin to yearn for His Spirit to fill our lives so that we can revive our city in the middle of a pandemic!

Do you desire this power? Have you been asking him to fill you up with his Holy Spirit?  I believe that if you can humble yourself and call on his name, he will answer you and give you the desire of your heart. Our world is in need of men and women who truly want to be lead through the influence of the Holy Spirit to turn this world upside down for the kingdom of God.

Prayer: Lord, today I declare that you may breathe your spirit on us and fill us with the empowerment of your Holy Spirit! We desire your touch and leading so that we can move in the supernatural and see your miracle working power through our lives and community. Have your way in us! Amen
