2 Chronicles 20:12 “O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.”
I love the last part of this verse! “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
So many times, when life hits us, we look to the left or the right. We tend to look at the circumstance in its entirety and worry. We also begin to question God and his promises toward our lives. But not King Jehoshaphat! While he was surrounded by a vast army, he chose not to look at them, but he raised his head up and told God the truth. “God, we don’t know what to do!”
Sometimes, we just don’t know, and that’s ok! We don’t always need to know what to do, but if we know how to look at the Lord that’s all we really need to do. Today look at the Lord! For he has everything in his hands. I can actually hear him say unto you as he did to all Israel in verse 17 “you will not have to battle, take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance of the Lord!
When your eyes are on the Lord all you are able to see is him, nothing else and with that you will see his deliverance! The Lord is with you!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us to see you today! Make our eyes clear and clean from the blur that the enemy tries to throw in our way. Help us see you despite all things, and may we hold on to your word and see your salvation and deliverance towards us. Amen!
