Matthew 11: 1-6 , “When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him, “are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else? Jesus replied, “Go back and report to john what you hear and see: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

So many people tend to lose faith when going through a trial. Especially when we see people who we admire and are people of God. One tends to ask themselves, “if they are going through a rough one, who am I?” Some begin to second guess their faith and wonder if following Jesus is worth it.

I don’t believe John the Baptist was second guessing Jesus at this moment, but I do believe he sent his disciples to ask what he already knew was in their hearts, since their leader was about to die. John wanted his own disciples to hear and see with their own eyes that Jesus was the Messiah!

Today if you find yourself going through a tough time. Remember, Jesus still heals, he still delivers, he still heals the broken hearted and wounds!  Jesus is truly our Messiah!

Prayer: Lord I pray that we will not lose faith during this pandemic. As jobs are scarce and people are looking for help, may we cling unto your word and remember that you are close to those who are brokenhearted and crushed. You are alive, and you are near us always. Amen
