Joshua 21:45Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.

Just this past week I picked up my son from school and immediately took him to best buy (our favorite store by the way). He had a puzzled look on his face, as he was most likely thinking, “why are we here?” I told him to come with me and we walked straight to the gaming section, and that’s when his eyes widened! This brought me much joy, as I told him “Son I promised you I would buy you the game.” He had the biggest cool-aid smile ever!

This is exactly what brings the Lord great joy! When He fulfills his promise over our lives, there is no greater joy! “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?” (Matt. 7:9).  This scripture reminds us about the father’s heart, and his willingness to give his child what he asks.  Joshua 21:45 is about the father holding to his promise! God desires to fulfill his promise to our lives.

On Sunday, I shared a promise God gave to me and the church, found in Isaiah 58:11,The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

U-Turn, be encouraged today and know that God has a purpose for you and will fulfill his promise like he did with Joshua and the children of Israel!

Prayer: "Father God! Today we are reminded that you love to fulfill your promises to your children. We thank you for being a faithful and loving God. although we don’t deserve anything your grace and mercy loves us so much that you want to give us joy! May we go about this day thanking you and glorifying you knowing that your word never comes void, and you always fulfill your promises! Amen!"
